Bloomfield Hall School
Bloomfield Hall is one of the major educational institutions in Pakistan. It was established in 1984 by educationalists from the UK and Pakistan. The aim of the project was to provide British style education leading ultimately to British qualifications. Pupils of Bloomfield Hall are prepared for the GCE ’O’ and ’A’ level examinations of the UK examining bodies.
Since its establishment, Bloomfield Hall has developed in two major directions. It has opened schools in various cities in Pakistan. It has also assisted in the provision of higher education in Pakistan: in Lahore, one of its sister institutions - University College Lahore - offers degree programmes of the University of London in various disciplines including Economics, Management, Accounting, Law and Information Systems.
Bloomfield Hall is a modern school in a meaningful sense:
It offers modern systems and technologies in education and also provides an environment which is liberal and progressive to encourage an attitude of critical enquiry amongst its pupils.
At Bloomfield Hall we aim to be an effective school, providing a quality environment for pupils to develop and achieve a high standard of education. We want them to be happy, have a good self-image, be good citizens and set the foundations needed for adult life.
We aim to do this by:
Having high expectations of each child
Helping children to develop lively, enquiring minds so they can acquire the knowledge and skills needed throughout their lives, and to be responsible for their own learning
Providing equal opportunities for all our children and to differentiate their learning as appropriate
Fostering respect and tolerance for the religious beliefs, cultural differences and ways of life of others
Developing in each pupil a feeling of self-worth
Helping children to understand the importance of being a good citizen and their duty in the world as a whole
Having well qualified, caring, happy staff who support each other and work together as a team to achieve all these aims.
Bloomfield Hall was established in February 1984 by educationists from the UK and Pakistan. The school, therefore draws upon many years of experience of the education system in Pakistan and the UK.
All students of Bloomfield Hall are prepared for GCE ‘O’ level. Successful students, then proceed to University College Lahore to do ‘A’ level courses of the University of London or Cambridge.
To reduce travel time for little children, Bloomfield Hall has established junior school branches in various localities.
Bloomfield has branches in a number of cities and therefore offers an inter-city transfer facility to its students.
GCE ‘A’ level
Students of Bloomfield Hall Lahore proceed to University College Lahore to join the GCE ‘A’ level programme. The college which is a sister organization of Bloomfield Hall, has a purpose built campus with an auditorium, swimming pool, libraries, cafeterias, and sports grounds etc.
Bloomfield Hall offers its ‘O’ and ‘A’ level graduates a special opportunity to pursue the University of London degree courses for external students in various disciplines. These courses are offered by University College Lahore.
Programme Structure
The Lahore and Multan campuses of College of Advanced Accountancy (CAA) provide the environment and programme structure aimed at making students into highly efficient and successful professionals. The main courses offered at CAA are ACCA and CIMA.

Co-Curricular
Bloomfield Hall schools provide a range of co-curricular facilities as part of the timetable, suited to the ages of the students. As a matter of policy Bloomfield Hall School provides the following infrastructural facilities in most of its branches
In-house swimming pools are an integral part of all Bloomfield Hall campuses which run junior classes. For Upper School children swimming is arranged at standard swimming pools in quality clubs and hotels. Swimming is part of the regular sports curriculum during the summers.
In order to achieve high productivity, a conducive working environment is a must; thus all branches of Bloomfield Hall are air-conditioned including class rooms, libraries, halls, laboratories and offices.
The subject range offered at Bloomfield Hall necessitates well equipped and quality labs. It is for this reason that all Bloomfield Hall branches have their own computer labs and science labs. These have all the equipment and materials to meet the requirement of various subjects. Some of the Bloomfield Hall labs are used by the British Council and Higher and Higher-Secondary Boards to serve as examination centres to conduct the practical examinations.
Aids
Bloomfield Hall makes extensive use of audio visual aids in pursuance of its educational curriculum. All branches are equipped with OHPs, multimedia projectors, DVD/VHS players, televisions etc.
Students are given the opportunity to experience and practise various methods and techniques which enable them to enjoy their creativity and good craftsmanship. Special emphasis is placed on how to do various things rather than to learn what things are done.
One to two trips are organized per term. These trips have both educational and recreational value. Students visit places such as parks and lakes, museums, markets, banks, law courts, factories, radio stations, airports, army bases, hotels and restaurants.
Music
The aim of our music lessons is to cultivate taste and appreciation of music among our students. Our children deserve access to the enjoyment and relaxation which music can bring to them. For this, our schools hold regular music lessons starting from the junior classes.
We encourage all students to participate in a variety of club activities including chess, karate, drama, kathak / ballet, and cookery etc. These activities depend on the availability of facilities and interests of teachers and students. These activities usually take place after school hours.
Students are assigned a ‘House’ having its own House Master / Mistress. Inter-House competitions are held in both academics and sports.
Physical Exercises
Physical exercises are part of the regular timetable for all students. The types of games played also depend on the school premises. If the school grounds do not offer enough space, then arrangements are made to play games in local play grounds.
Participation in sports is compulsory for all able-bodied students. The school offers facilities in the following sports:
Cricket, football, badminton, athletics, gymnastics, swimming, aerobics and table tennis etc.
