Rafi Group

was established in 1978.Very few knew anything about commercial plazas at that time. To begin with, Rafi Group gave Lahore two plazas Rafi Plaza and Zaitoon Plaza – on Hall Road and those were very well responded by the market. Then came the Hall Road Centre, again on Hall Road, which proved very successful.
The Group set yet another trend by introducing the Green Acre Farm Housing Scheme. Till then people had little or no idea of farm housing. Rafi Group then went on to build one of the most modern plazas, namely, the Empire Centre on main Boulevard Gulberg, which initiated the trend of constructing commercial plazas in the area. It diverted the rush of customers from Hall Road and Anarkali and brought unprecedented commercial activity to Gulberg while releasing pressure of traffic from the older commercial centers of the city.
Rafi Group then followed with Landmark on Jail Road, Empress Tower on Empress Road and Central Plaza in Barkat Market, Garden Town, Lahore. Rafi Group once again gave proof of its flair for innovation by creating a "single-use-only" shopping centre. The Defence Shopping Mall in Defence Main Boulevard was a masterpiece of construction and set a new trend. It has 500 shops under one roof i.e. no flats or offices. It is a unique place and noteworthy for its architectural elegance and the beauty of its design. By constructing multi-storey complexes, it induced people to live in them. People in cities were hitherto averse to living in apartments. It made them apartment-minded. What is more, in its 32 years of existence, Rafi Group has always fulfilled its promises and completed its projects in all respects.
